Youth development program, is a process that prepares young people to know the challenges of teenage and adulthood. And to achieve their potential.Youth development program, is allowed to help youth to develop ,physically, ethical and emotionally .
Young people have hope about their lives, communities and their country.Young people must be empowered in order to realize their potentials through enabled conditions and opportunities.
Mentor young people
Young people needs to be mentored, that knowledge you have ,share it with them let them know that nothing comes easy. They need to work hard and put focus on their future.Let them know that sometimes things wont go the way they expect them to. But they must not give up and think that they are failures. Mentor them as their going through challenges of life , open up your personal life so that they will know what you went through but still overcome .Let them know that they are not alone,there is someone who cares for them and make them feel like they matter.
Encourage youth
Youth development program encourage young people to study hard and take education seriously. Young people need to be encouraged so that they can understand themselves better and not focus on their background but their studies. Let them know that their lives can change anytime is just a matter of time, they must not give up. And they must be encouraged that they must be lazy and envy other peoples progress.
Create opportunities for youth
Over 3 million of young people in South Africa are not educated, some are not trained or employed. And they are coming from poor background, some they survive with social grant money which is not enough. And they cant get jobs because they don’t have experience. The government must create jobs for young people to work, in order to develop them. It can be training like internships and leaner-ships so that they can gain experience .
Youth development program plays a major role in young people’s lives,and gives them knowledge about their lives.
